IT START WITH
doing what you love
2MX2, the dynamic Latinx alternative rock and hip hop band from Denver, Colorado, has been taking the music world by storm with their fusion of Latin reggaeton, Spanglish lyrics, and a unique blend of rock and hip hop. Founded by cousins Owen Trujillo (O1) and Hugo Rodriguez (Juice E Hugo), along with longtime producer DMDTheProducer, the band has evolved into a powerhouse live act known for its energy, cultural pride, and impactful messages of unity and revolution. Since their bands formation in 2018, with the addition of Lolita (Lolitaworldwide), drummer Kenny O (also a founding member of the well known band Flobots), guitarist Adrian Garay and multi instrumentalist Eastlin, 2MX2 has quickly become one of Colorado’s most talked-about bands. Their unique blend of cultures and musical styles, combined with a commitment to social justice, sets them apart in the music industry.
In 2024, 2MX2 reached new heights with the release of their hit single “Si Se Puede”. The song, which embodies the power of the people, quickly gained radio traction, receiving heavy rotation on Indie 102.3 FM and across stations in Latin America, including Mexico and Argentina. The single’s message of solidarity and resilience resonated deeply, contributing to thousands of streams worldwide. The band’s ability to mix infectious beats with meaningful lyrics continues to attract a growing, passionate fan base.
Their recent accolades include winning the prestigious Colorado Sound Award for the ‘Band You Would Drive 105.5 Miles to See’, a testament to their electrifying live performances and growing influence. Additionally, they were one of only four Colorado bands (Nathaniel Ratliff, Pink Fuzz, Big Richard and 2MX2) featured on NPR’s nationally syndicated World Cafe for their Sense of Place: Colorado series in October 2024, further cementing their status as a band on the rise. This year, 2MX2 also secured the Arts in Society grant, which allowed them to collaborate with the youth of San Luis, Colorado, in an extraordinary community project.
As they prepare for their debut full-length album in 2025, 2MX2 continues to break barriers and bring communities together, blending genres and generations with a sound and message that resonate globally. Whether headlining at iconic venues like Levitt Pavilion in Sioux Falls, South Dakota or taking their message to the streets through powerful activism, 2MX2 is here to stay, paving the way for a new era of Latinx music.

The symbol of 2MX2, derived from the “Ollin” in the center of the Aztec calendar, represents Tonatiuh, the sun god. Originally chosen to highlight the shared humanity beneath skin and culture, their continuous exploration of this symbol has led them to a deeper connection, believing that it chose them rather than the other way around. This emblem serves as a reminder of what humanity is capable of achieving when united under a common cause.
As 2MX2 continues to evolve, they remain dedicated to their craft, weaving their rich cultural heritage and potent social messages into music that not only entertains but inspires and educates. Their journey is a testament to their commitment to making a significant impact on the world through their art.
